HELLO FRIENDS   Today I’m posting a card that I made using what used to be my least favorite color.  I used to REALLY dislike orange, and I don’t know why.  The more I use it though, the more I’m digging it.  And I really like it on this card with the green.  It’s very spring-summery. 

The adorable bear image is from Crafty Sentiments Designs.  They have lots of great digis to choose from, and they are one of the wonderful sponsors this week for the {PIN}spirational Challenge Blog.  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  I think I did a pretty good job shading the flower, but I had a really hard time with the bear.  I didn’t have many shades of brown to choose from when I colored him, but I have since ordered 3 new shades.  I wanted him a bit lighter, but he’s OK.  The designer paper is from Basic Grey and Stampin’ Up.  The oval and scalloped ovals are from Nestabilities.  The ribbon, brad, and flower were all in my growing stash.

Today I have a bright card to share!   I love this little girl from The Digi Garden.  Unfortunately, the owner of The Digi Garden passed away earlier this year, and her digis are no longer available.  I chose the bright papers first, then colored the little girl to match.  The die cut shapes are from Elegant Edges.  The flowers were in my stash.  I made this card at a weekend crop, and my friend, Shirley has all kinds of cool ribbon and trims.  The dotted paper was in my friend, Robin’s scrap bin.  The bright pink trim matched perfectly!

More Prom Pictures!!!  In my daughter’s senior year, she went to two proms.  That was 2 years ago.  I kinda missed Prom season this year.  The fancy dresses and getting her hair and pictures done was so much fun!

I used the Lemon Flower Stack from Die Cuts With a View.  I love the colors in this stack, and I’ve used it many times!  I combined several patterns, one with glitter, and edged one of the yellow prints with a Martha Stewart Border Punch.  The birdcage and bird on the branch were cut from the Songbird Cricut Cartridge.  The leaf branches were cut on the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Cartridge.  To finish the layout, I added silver and patina glitter to the die cuts and a silver bow to the birdcage.

It’s prom season, and I did some prom layouts last weekend.  Ahem….Yes, I know they are two years late, but that’s OK!  The papers are from the Black Currant Stack by Die Cuts With A View.  I love this stack!!!  I only used the black, white, and gray patterns in these layouts, but a lot of the papers are accented with a really pretty bright pink.

I highlighted the black and white patterns with bright blue that matched Katie’s dress.  I had flowers that were the perfect color and I added a few bright blue rhinestones to the centers of the flowers and to the titles boxes.

I made a pocket page to hold the program from the The Grand March.  I attached the patterned paper to the background using Tacky Tape on three sides.  I left the top open so I could slide in the program.

Here’s a card with a style that’s a little different from what I usually do.  The colors aren’t my normal froo-froo pink, purple, blue, and green!  The image is a digi from Delicious Doodles.  Isn’t she beautiful???  I colored her with Copic Markers.  I’m finding that I’m coloring my images first, then trying to find papers to match.  It’s kinda difficult, but since I don’t have many colors of markers, that’s how I’ll roll for now!

I made this card at a weekend crop, and my friend Shirley had paper that was the perfect color to match the image.  She also had a scrap of tan paper that she had embossed with the Big Shot and inked.  She wasn’t going to use it, and it worked well with this card.  I don’t fussy cut very often, but I should.  It’s an eye catching technique on cards.  I fussy cut the flowers and added off white pearls to the centers.  I punched a scalloped edge using a Martha Stewart Punch.  To finish the card, I added three Biggie Brads.

Today, I’m bringing you the sweetest {PIN}spirational Photo and a sweet card to go with it.  This weeks {PIN}spirational Challenge features the cutest little girl with a ring of flowers in her hair.  I’ve had this rubberstamp for many years, and as soon as I saw the photo I thought of it.  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  The paper is from DCWV.  I love this paper so much that I’m on my 2nd stack!  I threaded bakers twine through the buttons and attached them with glue dots.  To finish it off, I added two green flowers with pearl centers.  The sketch is from Here Come The Boys, and I saw it over at Feline Playful.

Happy {PIN}spirational Challenge day!  I like elephants, and this weeks {PIN}spirational photo is just too cute!!!  I went to an All Day Crop on Sunday, and knew that I was going to make my card then.  I had an idea in mind and had chosen my paper.  We all know that the first hour of a crop is spent socializing and shopping and Sunday was no exception!  We always have a “free table” that people can get rid of things that they no longer want.  While scanning the free table, this set of baby stickers caught my eye.  There in the middle of the sticker sheet was THE MOST ADORABLE purple polka dotted elephant with her baby!  It was too perfect and too cute, not to use it for this challenge. 

Of course the purple elephants didn’t match the paper that I had chosen for my original idea.  Some of the ladies had yard sale goodies, and I found the patterned papers in a sale bin…..SCORE!  I love the green and purple together.

How do you like this ‘Sweet” card?  I saw a challenge on my friend, Athina’s blog,  Stella Roo and Fena Too.  She is on the Design Team for Loves Rubberstamps, and the whole chocolate thing, caught my eye, or maybe my taste buds!  My Mom had the cutest set of clear stamps that she got from Card Makers Magazine.  All the stamps had cute animals cooking, baking, and eating sweets.  They were all so cute that it was hard to choose which image to use.  I chose this sweet kitty mixing up a batch of fudge brownies.  (Yes, I know she could be baking a cake, but I like brownies.)

I colored the image using Copic Markers.  I’m getting better using them, and I really like how the kitty’s face turned out.  The scalloped circles and flowers came from the Bloom Cricut Cartridge.  The scalloped border is from Martha Stewart.  The designer paper was from a K&Co. Kit.  The “Sweet” dimensional sticker was also in the paper kit.
