Fabulous Fall
I’m very excited to be participating with a group of girls that I’m getting to know over at Split Coast Stampers. We have named ourselves The Fall Girls, since our group started in the Fall. These ladies are very talented and offer lots of ideas and inspiration! I joined to the group so I would get motivated to keep my Blog up to date and try new things. So far it’s working!
I’ve been a crafter all my life and have dabbled in a little bit of everything. However, when I started scrapbooking and making cards, I knew this was the craft that I would enjoy for many years. It took YEARS for a friend to convince me to attend a Scrapbooking Workshop, and now I own a Scrapping and Stamping Store. How did that happen??? I would love for you to become a follower!

Here is my fall project. I hosted a Weekend Scrapbooking Getaway this past week, and this was the free gift for everyone who attended. I cut the overlay, title, wagon, and all the pieces parts on a Pazzles Creative Cutter Pro. The cardstock is Bazzill in Cheddar and Santillo. What a great fall combination! The patterned papers are from TPC Studio (ANW Crestwood). It’s difficult to see in the photo, but it has a nice shimmer and foil accents. What I love about this layout is that you can get lots of photos on it!
Penny Black Polar Bear Card
Giraffe Baby Card

I just love this little giraffe! He is off of the New Arrivals Cricut Cartridge. I cut him at 3″. (There are several other adorable animals on that cartridge that you could use on this card.) The dotted piece is off of the Story Book Cricut Cartridge. The {Baby} is a sticker from SRP Press, and the rhinestones are from Kaiser Kraft. You could whip up a batch of these in no time using scrap paper and other leftover supplies! You could add buttons, brads, or a tiny bow around his neck. Change the colors to pink, and you have a girl card. Get that Cricut chirping!
Mouse in Stocking Card

This little mouse is holding on for dear life, yet he’s nice and cozy in the stocking. This is such a versatile stamp. My card class girls came up with lots of uses. You could do it in traditional Christmas colors for the holidays, baby colors for a shower, or stamp “Hang In There” or “Let’s Hang Out” on the side.
I ran the base of the card through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Then I lightly sanded the dots to reveal the core color. The card can then be assembled as shown. The white dots were drawn with a Uniball Signo Pen….an absolute MUST HAVE! It writes smoothly on dark colors, no skipping or clumping. It’s great for making the whites of eyes and adding details to images. It’s also wonderful for signing cards that have a dark colored inside or journaling in your scrapbooks on dark colors. I also have them in silver and gold which will be awesome for Christmas Cards! It’s difficult to see in the picture, but I used a Star Dust Clear Jelly Roll pen to add shimmer to the knitted top of the sctocking and a few accents on the bottom part as well. It’s a great way to add a little bling without having to wait for Stickles to dry.
Here is a list of supplies:
- Core’dinations Cardstock
- Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
- Bazzill Cardstock and ribbon
- House-Mouse Stamp “In a Pinch” HMUR1066
- Water Color Pencils and Blender Pen

Boo! Card
Boo! to you and all your ghosts and goblins too! This is a pop up Halloween Card that I made. We’re making it in class tomorrow. Some of the girls haven’t made a pop up card yet, so they are very excited to try it. The star paper is from Doodlebug Designs. (They are one of my Top 3 favorite manufacturers.) You can’t tell in the picture, but the stars on the patterned paper are glittered.
The ribbon and card stock in basic black, lilac, and butterfly are all from Bazzill. The stars are from the George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge. The large one is 3″ and the small one is 1″ The ghosts are from Paper Doll Dress Ups and are 1″ and 3″. inked around them in black so they would stand out a little more. There are pop dots under the smaller ghost and the smaller star.

The Boo is from the Paper Pups Cricut Cartridge. I used the 3″ setting. This star is 1″. The ghost is 3″.
Day 229 – Shape Up!
- Crab Stamp – Oh if I could just find this stamp to sell in my store, I’d be rich! We’re right in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay region. I found it by accident on ebay a couple of years ago. The date on it is 1982, and I haven’t been able to find anything similar since.
- Ivy, Walnut, Blue, Fawn, and Admiral Bazzill Cardstock
- Ribbon by Stampin’ Up
- Warm Green Colorbox Ink
Now that I’ve made one crab card, I’m inspired to make more! Enjoy your weekend!!
Day 226 – Tuesday Trio
It’s back to feeling like fall here in Maryland! After several days in the 80′s, the temperature has dropped and the breeze has kicked up, inspiring cards that are more appropriate for this time of year! I did this card for a challenge at http://365cards.blogspot.com. The challenge was to use gold, leaf, and ribbon. Pretty easy!
Supplies used:
- Leaf Stamp from Inkadinkado Mindscape Fall Set
- Gold Embossing Powder and Versamark Pad
- Rust Ribbon
- Cheddar, Leapfrog, Walnut, and Fawn Bazzill Cardstock
- Rust Ribbon from CTMH
- Border Punch from Stampin’ Up
- Patterned Paper is an older fall paper from Flair Designs (not sure if it’s still available.)
I have friends in Scrappy Places…..
Rainy Weather Coming our way?
I just took a peek at Intellicast, and it looks like wet weather for Thursday….and possibly Friday and Saturday. Stock up on supplies tomorrow, so you can work on pages and cards if the weather isn’t as gorgeous as it has been this week.
